In the first half, the pacing might seem a bit wobbly but as soon as the characters, thanks to some charming performances from the actors, win you over, you are wrapped in this beautiful world, cinematographed by Mukesh Muraleedharan. But that's not where the film's strength lies, it's in the moving moments when each of the four characters talk about their past. Most of the film revolves around the relationships of these four characters who reside in the same apartment complex and how each of them influences the other, with small acts of kindness, love or just by lending an ear.Īnoop makes a fine debut and the script has enough cute and endearing moments throughout its 145-minute duration to always keep a smile on the audience's faces. What adds to the appeal of the slice-of-life story are indeed its characters - be it the single mother and French teacher Neena (Shobana) and her smart daughter Nikitha (Kalyani Priyadarshan), who only wants to tie the knot through arranged marriage or the inhibited and retired Major Unnikrishnan (Suresh Gopi), who thinks he still has enough in his tank to plan a surgical attack but shivers when it comes to attending a marriage function, and a youngster referred to as Fraud (Dulquer), who often picks a fight with his younger brother but almost has his priorities sorted out. The film, which is scripted and directed by Anoop Sathyan, more than delivers on that!Īnoop, who is marking his directorial debut with the movie, creates a warm and delightful world with a set of characters that are residing in an apartment complex in Chennai.
